Mike Sweeney of the San Diego Padres during a Padres vs. Dodgers game at Petco Park. This swing was a base hit. C&C's appreciated.

Great catch. I love that the catchers eyes are closed.

Cool shot, but don't be so sure it's not just an optical illusion:

This isn't a recent photo, is it? Mark Sweeney is the only Sweeney that I recall playing for the Padres and that was a few years ago.

Mike Sweeny played for our pitiful KC Royals until recently. I was not sure where he went but it looks like San Diego. He is a good player and deserved a better team. Nice capture!

Mike Sweeney (http://www.baseball-reference.com/s/sweenmi01.shtml) went from the Royals to the Athletics. He has never played for the Padres.

the bat does actually flex like that if you don't hit the ball on the sweet spot, super slow motion cameras reveal this quite easily. The bat will wobble back and forth a fairly significant amount (more than an inch total)

Looks like MARK Sweeney, who played for SD in '05.

The only Mike Sweeney I know of is in the A's farm system.

Something seems a little off here...
The bat bending is neat though.
