nice detail on #1.. i can't wait until my 50 1.8 gets here. So, is the name as in WRC Markko Martin or Nascar Mark Martin? Please say WRC.. :)

You're going to love the speed and optics of that 50mm lens. Here's one I took with a Canon 50mm f/1.4 lens:

First pic is amazingly sharp with great bokeh considering what reviews have said about the 1.8's bokeh compared to the 1.4.....but what do they know ;)

There is none, find a MkI and buy it no matter the price...............

Ya, no difference....except you get a metal mount with the MKI......personally this means jack to me.

Hey DOrtiz, I was just wondering what you do to your images to make them soooo sharp and crisp. I looked at some of the pics on your site, and they are the same way. I love it! Please share your secrete. :D

Hi Chops!

Thanks for the kind words my friend. I basically use PaintShop Pro v8.10 (currently testing their demo 9.0 version - 60 day free trial), to post process. I do one pass of sharpening when needed, and to date I have never done two passes as I feel it gives the image an un-natural look (IMO).

Aside from an occasional WB adjustment, that's about it. I should note, I love the Canon 50mm f/1.4 lens, as anything above f/2.0 produces incredibly sharp images. Not to say anything below f/2.0 turns out soft, but I've noticed wide open (at 1.4), you have to pretty much hit the focus dead on, or you'll wind up with soft images.

Thanks again my friend.

Regards,
Dave
