Canon black-friday deals - ever any good?

I've never looked at black Friday deals because I don't really care about the hassle to save a few dollars.

Just wondering, though - if there have been any good deals on cameras in the past? I'm interested this year especially, with the introduction of the 50d being so close to Christmas. Where are all those 40ds going to go?

Two Christmases ago, a few months after the Rebel XTi was released, it had a regular kit price of $899.00. I got it at Best Buy on black friday for $774.99. Not too shabby.
