This was my very first photo shoot that I did, in the beginning of last year, and I was definitely pleased with how the pics turned out...

Actually, out of a batch of about 300 shots, I only like 2 of the pictures.

And here's ONE of them. Maybe I'll post up the other one later...

All comments and critique are warmly welcomed.

I often too run into situations where I shoot ungodly amounts of photo's and turn out maybe 10 good pictures and only one amazing one. Thank everything good I shoot digital :D I like this picture too, altho a slightly better background would have put this photo way up there. You see how the white column is protruding from the top of her head.....ya thats just if you wanna be picky. Other wise composistion, sharpness (as near as I can tell), and colors are all dead on.

Yeah, it was real windy outside, and we happened to find an opening for a parking garage, and I liked the wood ladder and the green trash can that were next to us... Now looking back, I hate that white column, and was thinking about cloning it out, but hey, this is my novice work, so why complain? haha

Here's some more from the same shoot:

Here's the ladder I was talking about:

And then here's the green trash can... This was while we were taking a break to wait for the wind to die down:

And here's the other shot that I liked out of the batch:

Really nice indeed.
I love the golden glow the pictures have.
Is that done with a reflector of some sort, or just the diffuser?

I used 36" gold reflector for the shots

Thanks for that info.
It really gives the images a really nice look.

The 3rd shot on the 2nd posting is for me the best of the shots you have shown.

The lighting balance and facial expression is very good, nice shot

I prefer 1st and 2nd shot of 2nd posting. Other shot are too much overexposed pseudo-white for my taste. Nice framing anyway.
