My Cat Oliver - New 70-200L IS f/4

Just got my new lens and 430ex flash, testing some shots on Oliver one of my two cats.

I processed one of the picture in color and BW, I can't decide which is better.
I would really like some criticism on these pictures and the process in BW.

I like the last one because both eyes are in focus. Maybe a bit more dof on the first two, and I think I prefer the colour to the b/w.

Nice pics. Curious as to why he has numbers in his ear. Haven't seen that before.

The numbers in the ear is for him if he gets lost. If someone finds him they can call any animal doctor clinic to see who is registered for the cat.

You can choose a tattoo or a digital chip inserted into his ear, I chose the tattoo.
