After being very disapointed with 550ex on my D60
I have gone back to the 283.
I use them with Turbo bateries and after about a month they are allways fried. Even brand new units ofton need to be repaired( the conections at the flash tube need to be soldered).
Autofocus in bad light is also a problem.
I just left the Vivitar site and they have thyrsistor units with autofocus emiters, dose anyone know how good they are.
Also dose anyone no if Canon is working on anything to improve their flash performance.
