Friendly Dragon

Some shots from today.

This female Common Darter Dragonfly (Sympetrum striolatum) was most obliging and kept returning again and again to perch on the same fencing post - as you can see she was very friendly and let me get pretty close.

Lovely shots Ray - the first one works very well with the background.

Second one is lovely - they are a joy to photograph when they are being friendly like that. My only criticism would be that focus isnt quite spot on where I would have expected it to be (although very close to it).
