View Full Version : Digitial Photo Touchscreen Software

Hello,

Im looking for digital photo software aimed at customer using a touchscreen to pick their photos for processing. I know you can buy the machines that come bundled but im setting up my own, buying the touchscreen and adding the software so the PC isnt just limited to running this software as i also want to use it to run advertising at the counter while its not being used and also for showing people examples.

So i want something that makes it easy for me to manage and the customer to use. Ill be using 2 mitsubishi dye sublimation printers to print the photo's if that makes a difference so i want something that is compatible with them and also something that i can integrate with Photoshop and Photoshop Lightroom etc if something needs touching up etc

So hopefully someone can recommend something as the keywords for finding it are so broad its bringing up alot of sites that offer photo processing and not the software so its proving difficult to root through the clutter.

Im from Ireland and this is exactly the system i want but im not willing to pay €2.5k for it when i can buy a touchscreen for €500 and then i just need to add the software. I find these bundled compact systems are overpriced and i can just run it off the main PC i have their through a 2nd monitor if i could find the correct software. I put together my own epos software before and saved a fortune between having to pay yearly contracts and the extra price for an epos which is basically just a compact pc and touchscreen yet they charge double + the price.

My Plan would be to have it on the main counter and run 2 monitors from the PC, this 1st monitor would display all the normal stuff but i can have this software running full screen on the other monitor which would be facing the customer.

Im pretty handy with PC's so i can setup everything to work like the ones you linked to but i just need the software that makes it easy for the customer to put in their memory card and just pick all their photo's, enter their name and then the correct photos come to me ready to print. I will also use the 2nd monitor to display product info etc as it will be facing people while they wait for photos etc so ill set that up to display the adverts as a screensaver while the computer has been idle.
