Hi there
I have a very frustrating problem with my printer when i want print a b&w picture, i got some color shift like cyan and maybe green.
I've tried lot a thing to correct that but that don't work ;/
i run xp pro with photoshop

If there is one pixel of color the printers will usually treat it as a color print.
What format is the image you are going to print?
Try converting it to a PCX or other bi-color format to print. This will likely look ugly, but will let you see if your printer will indeed print black only.
Then try saving the image as a grayscale copy and see if this also prints OK.

hi
tiff grayscale negative scan from an epson scanner.
I've tried: grayscale, duotone, rgb, cymk, and that gave me the same result.
with a color reference pic i've got the same problem with gray region, they appears too cyan or green.
with color pics it's much easy to correct the color shift but with grayscale pics.....

PS: with PCX i'got the same results.

I've solved my problem!!!
it's a manufacturing defect...
i've changed my canon for an epson and that work fine now...
hope this help within reasonable limits
