Amsterdam, NL- Red light district

Here's one I took in Amsterdam last summer. Thoughts?

Amsterdam Black & White district....The image looks great. I am thinking it was day time and not so many lights? Were the buildings of different color? Was one of them YOUR bikes locked up since the night before? :o:o:o:p

The original is not so hot. I took this earlier in my illustrious photography career, shooting jpeg and still very novice.

It was daytime, and unfortunately, very gray and damp 95% of the time. The bluish sky in the background was later a very nasty and windy storm that managed to drench me and nearly drenched my camera.

I certainly like the b&w. You can see more detail in the blacks and greys.

Beautiful picture of this town. I agree B&W is great! I always seem to shoot B&W in Amsterdam. It feels like it should......natural....:oops:

Been there on a couple of stag weekends, great city. A definite eye-opener that place! Haha!
