I have been shooting HS wrestling for a couple of years for a local small town paper. They liked my wrestling photos so they are now sending me out for volleyball and football. I'm struggling a little bit with the faster moving sports, particularly football when the sun goes down. In these shot I used my 100-400 until it was too dark then switched to my 85 1.8 I was shooting with the aperature wide open in manual mode at 1600 - 3200 iso using the center focus point. C&C on my images and any thoughts for improving technique or camera settings would be greatly appreciated.

The ball carrier in the last shot is my son :-)

Is it just me, or do you have massive CA issues on the last 2 pictures (especially the second to last pic)?

I love your 3rd picture though! Perhaps you could crop out the left part of the picture and just have the two people on the right?

Third is my fav. They are pretty good all things considered. I like the clarity on the QB's face on 4. 1 isn't very flattering for the player and 2 doesn't really do anything for me as far as composition is concerned. But I think the exposure looks real good on my monitor on all of them. So props there. Keep on shooting!

Thanks for the comments. I'm not sure what to do about the CA, I have never had much of a problem with it when using this lens. Guessing the high iso and lighting conditions are the cause?
