Dude!!! you could mount a camera on a plate with canon's remote shutter ( the one it take photos based on timer) and get some AWSOME shots of landing...As long as it is permitted and the safety of the passengers is NOT compromised.

I bring in 3X more money now, just for being a Government Employee than when I was in the NAVY... Why could I not have done this Job a long time ago. Also I edit pictures for a fair fee here and there, this is taking off rapidly actually!! Very surprised that people will actually pay for this service.

I'm an IT Director for a small private school system in Oakland, Michigan. Part of my responsibilities are teaching digital photography classes. I also do a fair amount of event photography and have spent the last 4+ years shooting renaissance festivals and doing theme based portraits. Do I make any money doing it? Honestly, I think it's safe to say I spend more money than I make. Thus the reason I am beginning to shoot glamor and senior (school) portraits...

Dave, I don't know about cool...but I'll go with it none the less.
I guess I can say that I've been blessed with many opportunities in the life that I'm living, and there are things that happen each and every day which put the smile on my face. For instance, when I ride the bus to work, I usually see about 5-6 birds of prey on the way to work. Lucky that I'm able to see these types of things, especially here in the city.
I'm also doing a tonne of volunteer work in fields that I've studied, which include Fish and Wildlife Management amongst other biology and science based courses. In other words, I get to spend time with the birds I love and help out with research involving animals which I find to be cool...like puma's.
My airshow and DND work come because I have always loved military aircraft and enjoy the idea of doing something for my country. Since I can't serve as I want to, I try to do my part to put the men and women and equipment of the Forces into a positive light. As my photographic skills will hopefully get better, so will the positive impact that my work can have on those who view it.
And as for losing jobs...well, maybe Canada is just luckier than the USA? My heart goes out to all who are hurting during this time, but I believe that only great things can come out of all that is going on. Hang in there.

Wildlife Biologist (almost!) student. Have recently worked as a program assistant at the local zoo, and am hoping to get a job doing chronic wasting testing this winter and spring, and then hopefully working as a naturalist/seasonal educator in Denali National Park, Alaska, during the summer! I'm also doing some data analysis on white tailed deer through my university's student chapter of the wildlife society, so I guess you could consider the below picture my part time office! :)

I would love to go to school for something photo related, but all the photographers that I have talked to went to photo school never ended up using their degree!
So technically, I am a photographer. I work for JL's freelance photo, and for my school yearbook and newspaper.

I manage an industrial supply center but I have a degree in Computer Science that I never used (would've liked to at one time, but not-so-much now). My wife and I have just started a wedding photography company for ourselves to make some extra cash and further enjoy what we love to already do. We hope for her to go full-time with it in the next couple years and quit her current job with myself following suit shortly after that. It's nice to have a gameplan. Just hope it pans out!

I voted as photography being my main occupation but I do it part time. I am a stay at home mother but photography is how I make a little bit of $$ while doing something that I love. Follow your passion...life is too short to be stuck miserable in a job. Just my .02...good luck!
