Any thoughts on these? Good, bad, pointless... too white? I'm not sure what to think about them.

Better, but I think too bright, you definetely blew the highlights, so perhaps darken just a bit and add more contrast. Sometimes subjects look so... ordinary, common, when you make a picture with true colors, as in this case. You could turn it to either BW, sepia or mess with white balance and/or hue to give it the touch of surreal.
