people often talk about the different in light or colour when openning an image in photoshop, to test the difference, do a print screen and open it in photoshop, view it at actual pixels, scroll to the bottom, and put that ontop of the start bar to see the difference - heres mine.

It is an interesting thread, although it loads slowly in my 56k dial-up connection.

My monitor screen is 1280x1024 pixels. It usually displays my localhost default screen, a theme of ancient Egypt that includes my own image as the Pharaoh Akhenaton at right :)

The dim row of statues of Pharaoh Tutankamon hides the most used links and shows them up on a mouse over.

Try changing the JPG quality instead of the pixel size to get the picture down to around 100K. Hope that helps...

Right click on your desktop, hover over arrange icons by, make sure you don't have auto arrange or some other sort checked. That's probably what's causing it.

I took these photos a couple of years ago (guess where). My son had the idea of taking a photo of him with each letter and I later stitched them together. They were never intended to be so panoramic, and you can see how the backgrounds don't match (heck, the letters aren't even supposed to be in a straight line), but it is pretty close for a fluke. Obviously to fit this on my desktop I had to tile it. It is a bit busy for a desktop and this format does not do it justice (the original is a 21MP image)
