I normally post in the bird forum, so this is all new to me. C & C appreciated as I've got lots to learn.

These are all great captures - and it looks like you had to play the part of the bird to get shot #1.
Love #4 - though you probably realize now that a faster shutter would have helped.
I feel that #6 needs a slightly tighter crop - maybe in from the top left and bottom right. Not sure, though.
I think they could use a bit more PP to get some more punch to them, but hopefully other will have more specific ideas on how to accomplish that. Again, great captures and I'm sure the couple will be very pleased.

Thanks for the suggestion and I agree about playing with a tighter crop on #6, however I cant find one that works :) For my eye, you need the right edge of the building in the frame....go ahead and play with the crop if you want. We spent about 30 minutes at this location so were able to get a lot of different angles, poses & compositions. Sadly it was just after noon and the light was harsh.

Hi energy group shots! Good job.
In shot 1 could have done with moving the crowd back.
Lots of great images here.

Thanks Simeon and its funny I didn't even think of trying to move them back....exactly why I need the feedback for next time. BTW I enjoyed your wedding website Simeon.

Thanks for the comment and the old stone foundation was a great spot, unless you had allergies to all the rag weed!
I like it too. :)

Thanks....it was supposed to be a heart shape but didn't quite make it :(

Thanks Garry....sunny day with wedding at noon and reception at 2:00 p.m. made for pretty harsh lighting, so it was a challenge. The posed shots were taken using 2 580EX's into umbrellas for fill fired with an ST-E2.

Scott,
I actually like all of your shots. I think you did very well, considering it was midday.
Everyone is smiling, and raising their arms up, as though they were having a great time. I am assuming that you said something to get them to do that. I think you did your job.
I love the ring shot, and the group jump. Thanks for sharing. ;)

Great shots, but I feel #6 would benefit from a tighter crop

I've ordered a couple of stands from B&H for my flashes and plan to set them up for outdoor work. My ST-E2 is a bit frustrating though. It seems to lose contact with the 580s. They then go to sleep mode. Have you had this happen?

You can take great pictures, but try to work on the positioning of the bride and groom and their expressions. The groom has the same look in each one.
