Thanks, everyone, for the kind comments. :D I really appreciate it.

As for the borders, I just messed around in photoshop. Copy and pasted the outer border, blended that layer on top of the original and created an 'outer glow' to highlight the border effect.

I love the border effect... I have also used that. You might try rotating the border
a little for a slightly different feel.
