1st shot - why is it shot at f22? It wont be sharp anywhere near f22.. Also note how the people are moving, so you would need a faster shutter speed if you dont want them blured.. eg) look at the legs.. motion blur there.. use a faster shutter speed if you can.. hmm
2nd shot - if you straighten it up it would be good shot.
Perhaps try it again.. Only way to get better :)

I can't wait to visit Australia this year [November].
I will try to do some urban shots, Sydney and Melbourne are great cities there for that [nightshots also].

mirag76.

Definitely agree with siddr20 ...

You are in AV mode [that's good], dial it down to say f11 and check your shutter speed. You'll want something that will freeze the people walking in the foreground [say 1/125]. Adjust your ISO if required until you achieve this figure.

Focus between around a 1/3 to a 1/2 way into the scene and shoot!

Also, watch your composition too. The main point of interest in #1 to me are the buildings. Showing the dead space to the left isn't visually appealing.

#2 to me a nice shot but it could be more interesting to the viewer if perhaps it was a tighter crop or was taken from a more imaginative angle.

cheers
