Hi guys... i just bought a Metz 54-4 that doesnt have the adaptor to work on the canon 20D. what is the cheapest way to get it working on it? Possibly some off camera options too. IT would nice if i could use it off camera.... at the same time, i want al lthe features of the metz to work for my camera too..

THanks.

oh btw.. i got it mint condition for......150 Canadian dolalrs so about $100 USD

See if Metz will sell you a replacement adapter. Otherwise, you'll need to use it in manual - tape over everything but the basic flash contacts.

They sell an adapter for that, friend of mine runs that type flash on a D30 just fine.
I'd contact Metz for the adapter, maybe BHphoto will have it instock for you.

The old adapter for that flash that worked with the 10D was supposed to be upgraded in December for the 20D. I haven't been following the progress since I got the Canon 580EX. I'm sure with a little browsing you can find some info or check with B&H to see if the new adapter is out yet. That would be your best bet.
