I need a letter of assignment sample for boxing or any type of coverage. Thanks in advance.

Let me guess-you approached a boxing event about photography and they told you you needed a "letter of assignment" from a media outlet-right?

Usually they have the letter specifically written for the event and most of the times it is included in the press credentials application. I have never written one and I was looking for a boxing sample. Ed Mulholland (THANKS ED!!) emailed me a template he uses for boxing. The media outlet signed the letter and I email it along the Press Credentials applications back to the event's PR company. So I am good...

I emailed you the letter I sent to the boxing event. Please make sure you you edit it for your needs...I don't want to receive a press credential for downunder...:) It is a LONG swim from California.

i'm glad you got what you needed, but just curious, isn't it just a letter explaining why you are wanting credentials and what type of coverage you are providing?

It is, but using one that has the "right" wording and format. Helps a lot.
