Here's a few LA pics i've taken. These were pretty much from the opposite side of town, from the peninsula.

Downtown LA, (taken only with a 50mm lens, so it had to be cropped to be able to see the city)

And looking the other way off the hill, long beach and the harbor.

Here's another I took from the opposite end of the valley (near Valencia) on Tuesday from the summit of Manzanita Mountain:

That's Mount Lee (where the Hollywood Sign lives) on the right and Mount Hollywood on the left. The taller buildings of downtown L.A. are peeking up between them.

No smog filter necessary, gramps. It's been pretty windy here this week, and all the smog has blown away.

Wow, it is a lot clearer. Here's the same shot, but I took it today. Compare the difference, it's pretty drastic.

Yeah, you could say that. There is about 40 or so miles between the two vantage points where I was standing when I took the two pictures I posted here. :D

Geeeeeeeeeez the entire State of Connecticut is only about 50 miles across.

I think it's close to 52 miles north and south and 150 miles east and west.

You might be able to fit that in Los Angeles County. It's 4,084 square miles...
