Pretty young Elisa turned eight this week and got to take her picture. I would like to know what is wrong and what is right and or what ever you think on this. Please fault the photo and not the girl . . . she is as sweet as can be.
Thanks for those whom can take the time to help me improve in my 'people pictures.'

It really is good especially since there's no glare from her glasses and with the window behind her. My only suggestion would be to try it with her facing the window so that you'll pick up some natural light from it and perhaps have a more interesting background.

It is very nice. Would like to see one facing the window though. Lighting is so tough the way it was shot. You did a good job.

Maybe bounce the flash instead of hitting her straight on with it.. might help eliminate some of the drop shadow that has been generated on the right hand side of her.

I would like to see one facing at the window too.

Try to be more funny next time to make her laugh a bit

Some white foam core or a white reflector to your right putting some light into her eyes or a bracket mounted flash turned down about 1+2/3 fec. (flash fill).

My thanks to you guys . . . people are the hardest for me. I'll just have to get better I suppose, because I don't want to quit. Photography make the old gears spin and that is always good.
