I've tried uploading an avatar to my profile here, but I keep getting the message that my image is too big. I've set it to 80 pixels by 80 pixels, at 72 dpi and the image size (at least in PS) is 12k...way smaller than the maximum allowed by POTN. Any ideas?

I don't think you can use a PS image - it probably needs to be saved as a .jpg or .gif or something.

Of course, I don't have an avatar, so I could be wrong.

It's not a PSD file; it's a jpg which I created in PS

Looks like the maximum file size for uploaded images is 8k - or you could host it and use a link.

I'm wondering how to get an image to be that small (8k) and still show up as more than a speck on the screen?

Here you go Photomatte. This thread will help you

Be sure to use "Save for Web" so that you can get it to 8kb. It works and I do it often ;)
