Craig that is a beautiful and unusual picture.
were you up a mountain ? looks very chilly. ( -15 you say)
was it around noon ?
the sun shining so brightly on them really makes them so different from any icicle shots we have seen.
spikey icicle jewels of light against a blue sky

Thanks Marie!
Good to hear from you after all this time! Yes, I was up another mountain; can't seem to stay off of them...
The photo was taken around 8:30 am with the rising sun just out of the frame. The icicles were hanging from the roof of a small wooden structure. It was pretty cold, but there was almost no wind and I was dressed well, so I didn't really notice.
Regards from Japan.

I thought it was real early in the morning at first
but then 'so much shiny light in the ice' that I wondered Craig
should have known you would be up at the crack of dawn:lol:
must have been a really wonderful sight up any mountain in those conditions
I saw your reply to Mills post a short while ago and found your post then
I was looking to see when you last appeared
never expected to see you had posted so recently
hope the music tours are going well
