EF 35mm f2 question

Could any owner/user of this lens please comment on the AF speed and sharpness, say comparing it to EF 50mm f1.8 II? I understand that the focal lengths are different, but that would give me some reference point.

The EF 35MM F2 is one of my favourite lenses. It focuses quickly, albeit a little bit noisy as it's not a USM.

Sharp? You bet!

For the price, it and the 28MM F2.8 are about the best bang for buck lenses I've ever used.
