Ok, lets play a new game.
What was your first L lens, and what's your favorite picture using it and why?
I'll go first.
Mine was a 135mm f2.0 l, which I use on my 5D. Here's my fav pic with it:
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3176/2359520036_725bb5cce2_o.jpg
This was pretty much the first time I used this lens seriously and it was at this point when I realised just how slim the DOF could be. Sometimes for good and sometimes for worse!

Like the OP, the 135L was my first.
I'm not sure what my favorite or best photo is with the lens, but I like this one. It was my first time shooting a concert with the 5D/135L combo.

100%, 100% and 100% 70-400 F4L IS, its the BEST thing canon has ever done. Check any test you want, its even sharper than the 2.8 version and its even sharper than some equal primes according to a test site. I have used it a lot since Ive bought it and it suprises me how good it is. ITs sharp throughout the zoom range, throughout the aperture range and throughout the coverage (center, corners and extreme corners)...It must be one of the few lenses on earth that is 5 star optical quality, 5 star build quality AND 5 star value/price. You won't regret.

you missed the point of the thread dude
its great that you love your lens and its great that you want to sell it to everyone but post a pic aswell - and by the way it may not be the best to everyone.
i admittadly do love the 7-2 4is but it wasnt my first and it doesnt shoot 16-69, 201-1200 nor does it shoot below f4 so it may be the sharpest zoom in the canon lineup (which i would agree on) - this thread isnt to work out which lens each person thinks is the best.
post your fav. pic with it!

16-35 f2.8L II
35mm f1.4L
70-200 f2.8L IS
400mm f5.6L
All stellar lenses! And I am sure there will be more L's in my future.

My first L was the 80-200 f/2.8L, which is now owned by another PerOTN. It'd be very difficult to choose a favorite, as I have favorites for differenty types of photography, but if I had to pick, I'd probably say this, though there are 30 others I like equally as well. This was about 5 miles from my house when I lived in Germany:

Awesome shot. You make me miss the good old days of playing right wing. #28. #2 in goals, #1 in assists, and #1 in penalties. If I could have stayed out of the "Box" long enough, I am sure I could have made up the other 6 goals to be #1 in goals too! Thanks for sharing. It reminds me of great times......

My first L was 70-200/2.8 (non-IS), which I still use a lot. As my style has moved towards desaturated and rather dark images (both done in PP like those below), the colours are not too important for me, but I like the versatility and sharpness of the lens as well as the shallow DOF available through large apertures (I typically shoot at 2.8 to 3.2). And of course the colours are good with this lens, if you prefer that.
