If you're not using your camera for a couple days (who'd be crazy enough?) does it matter if you leave the lens on the body or not?
I've never heard one way or the other. Just wondering.

Never heard of or can think of a difference. That being said, if you are packing it is most often best to seperate the two to prevent any damage to the lens mount and to take up less space.

Can't think of any reason why not. I leave one of my lenses on so I don't have to attach more lens/body caps and possibly introduce dust. Makes it faster to get out of the bag and shoot with too.

I generally kept a lens on mine 24-7. but I rented a 300 f/4 and had to reconfigure my bag. As a result I had to put the body only in a section. I have yet to re-reconfigure my bag or it would have a lens on it. It does not hut either way. But you risk getting dust on the sensor the more times you change lens. So if you can leave it on, leave it on.

Always keep lenses on my bodies. That way you can start shooting straight away if you need to.

During this time of year they stay on for months at a time.
I have done it that way for years--No problems yet ;)
