Thanks Alan! There's plenty of football to be found... give it a go... local leagues can still provide good pictures.

Thanks dandan! The blue team are top of the league by 14 points - so I guess that might explain it!

Gmen,
I am not a sports fan, but your pictures had me completely mesmorized.
I don't know what it is that keeps me looking, but I think they are just Brilliant.
I really do like what you have done.

Thanks Solo! I don't think anyone's ever commented that they've been mesmerised by my pics before... very much appreciated!

Cheers alpine... these were shot with the 300mm f/2.8L... these shots were all at 1250 or 1600ASA, 1/800s or 1/640s at f/2.8
The good thing is that it's getting that little bit brighter every Saturday afternoon... so now's the time to get out there and shoot some football!

Hey, nice shots there gmen.
I came on here hoping to share a few that I took on Sunday but I don't think I will now
I spotted Dean Holdsworth in the first pic, was Darren Caskey too fat to get in a pic? :D

Well spotted - Mr Holdsworth, Chairman of the PFA no less!
Several of the Grays fans remarked on Mr Caskey's size throughout the game you'll be unsurprised to hear!
tigerroar? Are you a Hull City fan?!?

Good shots of the ladies!
And how's life in the Southern Prem... plenty of travelling by the looks of it! It must be quicker to get to Glasgow than Kings Lynn!
Oh yes.. and here's Mr Caskey... flying through the air...

Most of my photographic work is for local papers in the south-west of the county... which means I get to see a lot of Grays, Thurrock and Redbridge for my sins!
The last time I photographed Gloucester was back in '97 against Dagenham in the Trophy Semi-Final replay at Slough I seem to remember - sorry to remind you of that one.
My team is Barking... not that I see them as much nowadays as I used to.
