aside the canon g6 and g9, are there other cams on the market that shoot raw? Any other options or am i stuck buying one of those 2?

Canon P&S cameras (S series, A series, SD) can shoot in RAW mode with the CHDK program installed

interesting... is it hard to install that software? Is canon the ONLY one who puts RAW capability in their cams?

the chdk is pretty easy to install, on tthe a570 it does not support 4gb sdhc cards.
