Hello,
I have a EOS 300D/Rebel camera. My auto-rotate function used to work fine, with the shutter up.
Now it no longer rotates the image, just when I put sutter down.
Is this a sensor problem. Can I fix it without taking it to Canon service ??
Thanks.

Check the menus -- is there a setting (there is on the 20D) to turn on/off the auto-rotate function?

It's turned ON.
I turned ON and OFF some times... and nothing....

What program are you using to view the thumbnails? Not all viewing programs recognize the rotating command.

I had to download via canons browser program in order for the images to rotate.

Thanks to all answers...
The image used to auto-rotate in the own camera's screen, just after saved.
Then, it was transfered to the computer, already rotated...
This don't happen any more.
