Any comments gratefully received. Just a few from a session with my wife and kids.

Great shots. Fine looking family.
A feel for what their personalities must be like came across nicely.

Which of your lenses did you use?

They're all excellent, but the personality of the lady in #2 really comes through. Makes her look like someone I wish I knew.

Good work.

Great use of the plain background, B&W are especially good.

Thanks for your kind comments. The first three are with the 50 1.8 and the last with the 70-200 at about 70mm. I have to destroy my house when I set my lights and backdrops up as I don't have all the room I'd like, hence the fairly short lenses.

what do you use for a background - i really love that effect of the person being against the white!

It's just a roll of Arctic White background paper. Blast it with a light to max it out and that's it. I use Colorama - it's about £50 for a 2.8m x 11m roll.

All very nice. My fave though for pose and all around effect, is #4, Your daughter.
Keep at it, and thanks for sharing. ;)

Very nice shots. You seem to have the pure white background shots nailed.

Last time I tried them (many moons ago) I was getting the pure white "bleed around" on to the subject, but as you can see on the shot of the little girl, you can still see huge detail in the hair.

Nicely done. :)

While all are very good, I liked #4 the best. You have fine looking family.
