Did You know the Kookaburra eat chickens? I didn't and I almost missed these photos, I was passing the Kookaburra and wasn't intending to photograph it on this trip since I have several photos of it. But then i noticed something I never saw before.

That really is an amazing sequence of shots. Really well done.

I'm not sure I'll ever enjoy chicken quite as much again. On the other hand, the kookaburra obviously has the good sense not to eat his chicken fried. Much less cholesterol that way.

...............when I was a youngster gone off to camp, we used to sing a song about the Kookaburra. I never knew what one was till now, thanks! Great shot too.

Wonderful series - I particularly like the 'almost gone' shot!

Is this in a zoo? Many zoos/aviaries feed their birds chick because they are cheap (:D).

Surely this is the Lesser Spotted Anderson Kookaburra? Native to Denmark and Belgium. ;)
