Very nice photo Reigh. You are right in saying that lobter traps like these are becoming a thing of the past. Now wire mesh traps are used. When I was a little boy we use to free birds every day that got caught inside these traps on the shore.

Nice scene. I remember a stack of them at Neil's Harbor on a foggy, drizzly day. I didn't hold up my group to get a shot, have always regretted it.
