With PS 7.0 when you use the duotone effect for images. The program will not let you save in a Jpeg format. I was wondering why this was, because I want to save some of them in Jpeg but the program will not let me. Can anyone help me with this problem, or give me some information on how to solve it. Any information you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You can still do a "save for web" to get your image to jpg. Alternately you can do Image>Mode and change it to a different mode that will allow the saving to jpg via the "save as" chioce.

There is no way to solve it. Not all image formats support duotones.
Your only solution is to make your duotone and then convert to RGB when you are ready to save your JPEG. Once you convert to RGB, it is no longer a duotone. Your tones can also shift a bit during conversion.
If you print on a desktop inkjet printer, unless you use something like a quadtone ink set, you are not getting a duotone anyway. The printer driver will make the RGB conversion on the fly.
I have a tutorial that explains how duotones work, how they are treated by printers, how to save them, etc.
