I know it's been done to death.
Wanted to test out my 300L f4 IS and my TC's.

Through the clouds...

Your typical moon shot taken with the 300L + 1.4x TC + 2x TC MF handheld. (1092mm FOV equivalent on my 1DMKIII)

Thanks!

Yeah, I agree, I am partial to the first shot, however I was more "proud" of the second because I managed to get something decent with my TC's stacked.:D

First is almost romantic but something is absent. May be to place moon not in exact center of picture? Add some landscape? Tree or sea? Be creative.

Second one is great phisician portrait of moon

Must of forgot to mention that I was in my backyard when I took these...not much romance exist in my backyard in NYC...much less a sea!:D

Perhaps a shadow of my garage would have added that extra touch to bring it over the edge? Perhaps my neighbors fence or clothes line?;)

And yes, the moon is shamelessly placed in the middle of the frame. Perhaps I should have placed it a third from the corner, just for the sake of putting it there...though I don't usually frame things for the sake of it...;)

I also admit the second pic is me shamelessly testing out my 300L with TC's stacked. Nothing artistic about it...but you gotta admit, it's pretty darn good.

Sometimes it just can't be helped!

Appreciate your comments...can certainly try something different next time around..maybe superimpose an image of a nice landscape scene!

I absolutely love that first shot. The clouds make for a very moody and brooding tone.
