I was look for a flash book on Amazon, The Nikon Flash Guide by Thom Hogan. The book is out of stock so I entered a query for "canon flash" which hit the following:

How Canon Got Its Flash Back: The Innovative Turnaround Tactics of Fujio Mitarai (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/047082123X/qid=1107729338/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/002-5736047-6976841?v=glance&s=books)

How Canon Got Its Flash Back is a fascinating book that show how one blue-chip tech company is riding out the bad times in style. While the earnings of most Japanese tech companies have gone up and down over the past decade, Canon's growth has held steady.

This book discusses the East-West style management strategies of its current president Fujio Mitarai (nephew of the founder, Takeshi Mitarai) that have turned Canon into a winner despite an increasingly dreary global economy. Mitarai was chosen as one of the world's top 25 managers in 2001 by leading US magazine BusinessWeek. Since taking office in 1995, Mitarai was viewed as a model for executives of large corporation throughout the world.

Could be interesting. It's on my wishlist for my next Amazon order.

I'm not sure I want to read a book about how efficient Canon has been at making money. I'm already painfully aware of it.

Being a newbie in photography, I thought Canon and Nikon are both sizable companies holding more or less similar patented technologies. Until one day I read an article that Nikon doesn't make their digital sensors, and is going to buy sensors from Sony...

I chose to go the EOS system route by gut feelings, I guess my gut made a good choice?
