NEED HELP!

I am looking into buying some lighting equipment. I really suck at this part of things. I am for sure new at all this. I am lookin into using it for family shoots and maybe some wedding pics and possiblely some baby pixs. I'm not looking to spend a lot of money but some good medium type equipment. Please some help.

Your question is difficult to answer without a budget in quantitative terms. You can buy a flash unit for $80. You can easily spend $10,000 on studio lighting. There's a big range in between.

The most important thing is to put your brain in front of your wallet. Learn about light, then learn about lighting, then learn about lighting equipment. Your auto mechanic can fix your car because he knows about cars, not because he owns $40,000 worth of diagnostic equipment.
