This little guy was at a Nuture Center here in San Diego. I thought this one came out pretty well. Taken with the 300D and 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS.

Full Grown. They only get about 8-10 inches at the most. They dig along irrigation ditches for a home.

Zach had it right. They grow to only 8-10" tall, and when you pluck off all the feathers, they are only about four ounces in weight... fine prey for a red-tailed hawk. They live wild here, but they generally won't let a photographer get very close.
