BG-E6 Questions (for 5Dmk2)

Well we know the 5Dmk2 is weather sealed, but what about the grip?
Will the older BG-E4 work for the new 5Dmk2?
And does the new BG-E6 have the AF on button?

Like the BG-E2N it will probably have some sealing around the grips battery door, but will likely leave the camera somewhat susceptible to dust & moisture through the cameras battery compartment. Just a guess though.

Will the older BG-E4 work for the new 5Dmk2?
No, the batteries are different.

And does the new BG-E6 have the AF on button?
Yes, it does.

I dont think the BG-E4 grip will work. I hope its going to be built better than any of the other grips, but Im pretty sure I will hate that grip too.

I understand and always have a love hate relationship with Canon grips. I love the convenience in Vertical shooting but don't like the look or fit. I just need to concentrate on taking pictures with the camera and stop looking at it.

Yes I am still wondering. I haven't seen much released on the grip. The picture you posted was the first picture of the grip I've seen. I'm happy it has the rubber on the back, but I think it would be foolish to make a weather sealed body with a grip that will compromise that.

Im pretty sure we havent seen much about it because its going to be another plain grip with nothing new or extra to boast.
