Snowy Egret - Surpise shots of the day

Fig Lagoon - Near Seeley, CA.

I took a drive down to Fig Lagoon and found several Egrets and Herons in the trees. Which is good coz I was scoping out areas that I think maybe they'll nest in. This place looks like it has potential.

It was grey and yucky out, but took a few shots anyway. What a surpise when I got back and processed the pics - they actually turned out! Next time I'll pay more attention to DOF.

That Egret has legs like mine! :) Great shots - I guess it must have been swaying somewhat too?
