OK, so you have to take into account where i live and the fact that it is a rainforest and the fact that foolball here is played in our rainiest part of the year. Thats why this is only my 2nd attempt. Every other time over the last few years the games have been rainy and have kept me away form taking pictures at them.
SO, CC is welcome, just take all those factors into account, let me know where and what to do differntly.

David,
I got a question, why are these poor kids playing on dirt? Thats gonna leave a mark.
Nice going on some of your first try's
I like 1 and 7 best, exposer looks good on these.#1 could use a tighter crop perhaps. The last one maybe do a straighten horizon, just my two cents.I am still learning also.A couple of them look like you were kneeling, I have been trying to work on doing that more as well as shooting in verticle mode,it makes for a tighter shot but can be more difficult then shooting in landscape(horizontal).
Thanks for sharing, maybe I should post some it has been awhile.

Thanks....
They play on dirt cuz in a rain forest you need drainage or you play in 4 inches of much, literally! So our kids play all of their sports on essentailly peagravel that is packed about as hard as concrete!
Some of the shots were from my knees, and thats not getting easier as I age.. lol
I also shoot almost everything in verticl orientation. Comes from habit from shooting basketball. I take 99% of all my shots like that now. I have to concentrate and look at the buttons when I try to shoot horizontal...lol

I particulary like #6 as you had some messy b/g to deal with and the tight shot and crop really take care of that in that image. Exposure looks spot on.

I think you did a very good job on these. :)
I agree with pacdzyne.. it looks like it could get painful.

Essentially they are playing on what I assume is a surface similar to a softball or baseball infield? Perhaps you should try and convince the city to blend some green dye/paint into the gravel/screening mix so you can at least get a nice traditional green field! Just came back from a visit to Ketchikan while on a cruise in August. I can understand the need for drainage!!

Yeah, we get some rain here, not like you desert people from southern BC!
