My lovely girlfriend came to see me from Russia last week, her name is Tanya. I took many shots with the A80 but chose these 2 to share because I'm especially pleased with them.
The weather was ok, but a very dull so I "warmed" them up with some color adjustment, by adding a little red etc. the first one is in the local park, and the second is along The Thames in London.
But they didn't need much "warming" up for me, I'm a lucky guy!

I also gave her an A400 when she arrived, what a great cam for £110!

Indeed you are. And here was I fretting about my girlfriend living 180 miles away!
I like the first one a lot more than the 2nd. The symetry and pose work well. The 2nd is a bit of a snap

women love flattery. perhaps if you flatter her more she'd be more willing.
that's how i get women to do stuff for me unless they were willing to begin with.

Same here Geeeyejo, my wife does poses for me, however she is the final judge of which pics to keep & which not :-)

I used to be horrible about letting my husband take my picture. Then one day a few years ago, I read a letter in either Dear Abby or Ann Landers (can't remember which one) that completely changed my outlook on it. It was written by a man who said his wife would never let him take her picture. Then, she was tragically killed in the Oklahoma City bombing, and he was absolutely heartbroken that he had so few pictures of her. He said he wouldn't have cared how "terrible" she thought she looked at the time the pictures would have been taken - he just wished he had more of her.
That letter made me realize how selfish I was being, and I completely changed my attitude about having my picture taken. It doesn't mean I like looking at them any more than I used to - so I just don't look. :) It makes my husband happy to take them, and for him to have them, and that's what's important.
Besides, this is the way I look. A picture's not going to change that, for better or worse.

Yes we had a great time thanks.
Thanks for all the comments. She cringes when I show her pictures, but she doesn't mind posing for them ;)
Lissa, that's a very good point you have there. If you arn't with someone then all you have is pictures, and if they are gone for good then you know its too late to get more :(

Nice.
I have just a few pics of myself. I am usually behind the camera.

Your girlfriend has a clean look and is classically beautiful. Her skin is nice and her expressive face is charming. You should take more photographs of her...she would be a great model for study. :)

The park one seems a bit too cranked and saturated, looks unnatural.
