Hello all,

I've been playing around with my new 20D (I still have my 300D as well), and I noticed that some of the accessories are different than those on the 300D. Hence, I need to buy new accessories. So, before I order, I want to make sure I don't miss anything. I like to combine those shipping costs when I can. :D

So, the Remote Switch is different and the battery grip is different. Also, I'm going to get an extra battery and another memory card (or two). Is there anything else that I might be missing? I just want to make sure that I get this all in one order.

Thanks!

That's pretty much it - the remote and the grip are the only regularly-used non-interchangeable bits modulo dedicated mounting plates for various third-party brackets/tripods. Since you've got both cameras, and all the accessories you routinely use on your DR, just try them on the 20D.

I was just looking at the list also. I may get the speedlite 580EX Flash. Does Canon sell a car adapter so that you can charge your batteries while out on the road?

Camera batteries, I assume? They have one - model no. escapes me. There are also third-party chargers that will support the BP511/BP522/BP535 on AC or auto power.

I get batteries from http://sterlingtek.com - cheaper and higher capacity than the BP-511/BP-511A.

I post that link so often those guys should be paying me referral fees ;)

I'm not sure that I've ever seen or heard the word "modulo" used in a sentence before. I read the sentence and thought it sounded a bit odd, but had to read it twice more before I noticed "modulo" in there.

I thought you worked in IT. And you haven't heard modulo used in the canonical sense? Means the same as it does in math - the remainder after the division, or, take away the general-use accessories and it's what's left. Or, from The Jargon File (http://www.catb.org/~esr/jargon/html/M/modulo.html).
