Hello,
I just bought some strobes and have been playing around with the kids. Here is a series of my daughter. #1 is the original. #2-3 are PSed versions. #4 Is one I liked her eyes, but the background was lousy. Numbers 5-6 are just the eyes. I know I need to work on the location of the lights as I am not crazy about the highlights in her eyes. Any other suggestions are appreciated.

I particularly like #4. Lovely soft feel ( soft in a good way ! ). I think you're on the right track with the lighting, but I have to say that I'm not struck on the background - its too close in color to your daughters jumper.

Keep shooting - and keep posting them up!!

#4 was taken with the Rebel with the kit lens. The ISO was 100. The f stop was 5.6 and the shutter speed was 100. I cropped it in PS, desaturated, and then used a layer with Gausian Blur and then the eraser. I Erased more on her eyes and lips, less everywehre else. it looks very different from the original here http://img2.imagevenue.com/loc120/f8b_IMG_53702.jpg
I also took off that mole on her forehead that she hates.

I just liked this shot of her face and eyes alot- plus I really like playing with PS :)
