selling on getty and corbis?

are these exclusive or difficult to submit photos to? i don't see a sign up area for photogs like i do on other sites.

looking to find some other stock sites to sell on besides alamy. any suggestions that aren't microstock sites?

Hi,

Get the book "Photographers Market 2008" (actually, 2009 might be avail. fairly soon). There are over 60 pages of listings of stock agencies in there. Lot's of detail about who and how to submit images to, specializations, etc.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the 800 lb. and 500 lb. gorillas of stock agencies, even though they definitely have the highest traffic. I think they are a bit less "customer oriented" toward their photographers.

However, some people like them. I recently noticed that George Lepp is with both, and only with those two as far as I can tell. Of course, it helps to have a lot of name recognition, to keep from getting lost in the crowd.
