I came here because I am seriously considering the purchase of a 1D (and lenses).

You folks have posted some swell and very helpful information here, and I just wanted to thank you all.

It seems to me that my interest in the 1D is justified because I plan to need the shutter response speed and the multiple frame rate is appealing also.

I have been using a Sony FD91 (about 3 years and 2500 shots I guess), but I have reached the limits of that camera's abilities. I am not sure I can part with it, however ;)

I have a lot to learn, and I hope you will be as helpful to any direct questions I post as you have been in the posts I have already read.
