I recently had to make a trip to western NC (Lenoir, NC) due to the death of my grandfather. This is also my dad's hometown and it's beautiful there. I decided to make the most of my trip and take a few pics.

yeap.... very cool.. y'uns come back now when ye get a chance and visit a while...

Lenoir is a pretty cool place, know a few of people who live up my way that have to work in lenoir, and we drive through there a lot on our way to Hickory/Charlotte... I like the first and last best, but the ones in between are cool too.

That sign just warns you that they might be falling/fallen rocks, so watch out.

Thanks for posting more shots.

The kayaker shot is pretty cool. Looks like it would've made a nice video!
