S1 and CF Card question

Recently I purchased a 512MB CF card for my S1. Went to an event and took several hundred pictures, no problem. Now with my previous card (256MB) I usually plug the camera into the USB port and use XP's camera download wizard to rename and transfer the pictures. But with the 512MB card Windows XP says that there are no pictures on the card. I can take the card out and put it in my card reader with no problems or use the camera to view them. But XP says that the card is empty.

I've reformated the card but it doesn't make any difference.
So why does XP not recognize it? Anyone know?

I can't really help you except to say that I recently purchased an S1 along with a 512mb card and XP recognizes it fine for me. Sorry no help except that it isn't XP itself.

David, when you connect your S1 are you using the Camera and Scanner wizard to transfer your pictures? I've got a couple other XP systems I guess I can try it on one of them and see what happens. Maybe I'll see what's different about mine.
