Any thoughts? Zoom isn't that important to me, and I'm not sure if I like AA's or the longer life of lithium ion. I really am just looking for best image quality. What do you think of these 2 cams a 3rd option?

Hi Brian,
Just wanted to give you a quick response to your post. I bought the Canon SD770 about a month ago. It was an upgrade from the SD1000. Both of these cameras are exellent and I love them. The SD770 even has a battery low indicator on it now, which the other didn't.
I do not know about the a200IS that you asked about, so I cannot comment on that. But, I will say that the lithium ion battery that comes on the SD770 is a very, very good, long life battery. I picked up two extra off brand batteries on ebay for back up. Both of them last quite a long time too. I am surprised at the battery life. It is much better than the sd1000 was. I used to have a little Optio pentax camera that took AA batteries. Even though I used rechargeables, it ate batteries very quickly. So, I totally support the lithium ion batteries. They recharge quickly (approx. 90 minutes).
Hope that helps.
