I wouldn't say I regret this, but I do wish I still had my 100-300 f5.6L. It was an older model, a push-pull zoom, but I got better clarity with that lens than I think I've ever gotten with anything else.

I needed a faster lens for night high school football, so I sold it to help finance my 70-200 f2.8L IS, and while my reason was solid and I don't necessarily regret it, I do wish I still had that lens.

My 600mm f/5.6 Nikkor. I miss it a lot, but at the time, I couldn't find wheels for it. ;)

sigma 150 macro. There was absolutely nothing I didn't like about that lens. It was light, focused incredibly well for a macro, and produced better colors than any lens I've ever owned. I sold it in the spring to fund a laptop for my semester abroad. The laptop was stolen the second day I owned it. :(

Also, I'd still have my 30mm f/1.4 from Sigma had I not switched to FF. That was a brilliant lens.

I sold a great copy of the Canon 50mm f/1.4 to someone here on the forums and immediately thought, "Why the $%^! did I do that?!?!" I'm about to buy another. Yeah, yeah.

I do not regret selling a lens but I do regret not buying one when I had the chance. A friend had a EF 200 f/1.8 that was in pristine condition. His father owned it and only used it 2 times before his death. He was cleaning out his fathers house and offered it to me for $1500. I didn't have the cash at the time and was hoping he would still have it in 2 weeks. Well someone offered him $2500 for it and needless to say he sold it.
