It was like my 4th concert to photograph,
and I am pretty happy with the results but I would love to hear what you guys think of them! :)

Mothers Finest (http://www.mothersfinest.com/) at Parelpop (http://www.parelpop.nl) 2008.
Pictures taken with canon eos 400d and tamron 28-75 lens.
No other editing/cropping than converting some of them to b-w

I think you went a little overboard with the tilt. If you're going to tilt, don't do it all the time, and give us a little more variety. Generally speaking I try not to tilt an image unless there is a compositional reason to do so (such as keeping the guitar head in the frame or including/removing specific element from the composition).
You missed the focus in #1 a little, but the others look pretty good. I think they could benefit from a little more contrast (the b&ws especially), and it will help add a fair bit of pop if you sharpen after you resize for the web.
That said, #3 is my favorite of the set...nice moment and nice expression.

Hey, Sharon! Nice to see you here and welcome @ POTN ;)

I'm a bit busy right now, but I'll give some comments on them later. Have to agree with bacchanal on the tilt, #1, 3 and 4 are a bit of the same... I like the composition (and tilt) on the last one, but the colors on that photo are a bit too red I think. #2 could use some more light greys/whites, it's a bit dark.

Hi Sharon! Glad you found your way here :)

Last one is nice. Don't mind the red, like the tilt, but would lighten it quite a bit. #3 is nice as well.

Agree with the others on the tilt: I wouldn't tilt all of them.

The B&W edits are better contrast wise, but a bit too dark IMO.
On the B&W images: I get an error message when opening (any of) them in PSCS2:
http://img.skitch.com/20080922-xnhm1rgxgbn2hsxdan7qimnfsn.jpg, so I converted them to sRGB. Did make a small difference. You might want to look into that.

Here are two quick edits. I used two curves adjustment layers for the color image (one in luminosity blending mode, to avoid oversaturation), one adjustment layer for the B&W.
Adjustment layers were masked in both cases.

thanks rene , that really helped me out ! [=
I don`t really understand the error, because I did open and saved them with pscs2, and I thought I did save them in srgb.... but I`ll take a look at it again (and at all the other photographs that probably will have the same error then O.o)
